Latin-rite diocese covering ten municipalities of the Valle del Cauca department of Colombia, seated at Palmira and suffragan of the Archdiocese of Cali. It was erected on 17 December 1952 from the Diocese of Cali and the Archdiocese of Popayan. Its seat is the Cathedral of Nuestra Senora del Rosario del Palmar in Palmira.

History
Palmira, a city in Colombia's ecclesiastical province of Cali, is the seat of this diocese, known in Latin as Palmiranus.
