Southern Texas is home to the Diocese of Corpus Christi (Latin: Dioecesis Corporis Christi), a Catholic diocese in the United States seated in the city of Corpus Christi, with Corpus Christi Cathedral as its mother church. Mario Alberto Avilés serves as its bishop as of 2026.
