The Diocese of Austin is a Latin Church diocese covering 25 counties of Central Texas, erected in 1947 and suffragan to the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Bishop Daniel E. Garcia was installed as the sixth bishop in September 2025.

History
Central Texas is served by the Diocese of Austin (Latin: Dioecesis Austiniensis), a Catholic see whose see city is Austin. It is a suffragan within the province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Daniel E. Garcia holds the office of bishop of Austin as of 2026.
