History

Erected on 23 June 1891, the Diocese of Cuernavaca (Latin: Dioecesis Cuernavacensis) is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Toluca, with its seat in the Cuernavaca Cathedral. On May 15, 2013, Pope Francis named S.E.R. Mons. Ramón Castro Castro as the 12th Bishop of Cuernavaca.
