History
Dating to the 3rd century, the Diocese of Lleida, also known as the Diocese of Lerida (Latin: Dioecesis Ilerdensis), is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church in north-eastern Spain, in the province of Lleida within the autonomous community of Catalonia. It belongs to the ecclesiastical province of Tarragona and is therefore suffragan to the Archdiocese of Tarragona.

Bishop emeritus Salvador Giménez Valls presides Eucharist
Bishop emeritus Salvador Giménez Valls presided over a Mass at San Honorato parish in Vinalesa to mark the 25th anniversary of the beatification of the Valencian martyrs. The celebration honored Arturo Ros Montalt and Father Aurelio of Vinalesa, as well as the Carmelite martyrs, whose relics are kept in the chapel of the Casa de Vinalesa. During the homily, Giménez Valls described the martyrs as teachers in the Christian school due to their faithfulness and total surrender to God. He also noted their ability to forgive those who killed them, suggesting their testimony encourages others to live their faith with greater devotion to God and others. The liturgy included the blessing of two large new paintings depicting Arturo Ros and Father Aurelio. These canvases are now displayed in the Blessed Sacrament chapel. Parish priest Enrique Roig stated that the celebration held special meaning because of the 25th anniversary of the beatification.
