History

In north-eastern Spain, within the province of Teruel in the autonomous community of Aragón, lies the Latin diocese of Teruel and Albarracín (Latin: Turolensis Albarracinensis). It belongs to the ecclesiastical province of Zaragoza and is therefore suffragan to the Archdiocese of Zaragoza. As of 1912 the diocese of Teruel took in the civil province of the same name, with the sole exception of the town of Bechi (Castellón).
