History

With its episcopal see in the city of Fiesole, this Latin diocese of the Catholic Church (Latin: Dioecesis Fesulana) lies in Tuscany, central Italy. Fiesole answered directly to the pope until 1420; on the creation of the Archdiocese of Florence it became one of that see's suffragan bishoprics, a status it retains today.
