Military Ordinariate of Indonesia

Latin-rite military ordinariate providing pastoral care to Catholics in the Indonesian National Armed Forces and National Police, established as a military vicariate on 25 December 1949 and elevated to military ordinariate on 21 July 1986. It is immediately subject to the Holy See; its principal church is Jakarta Cathedral. The ordinary since 2 January 2006 is Ignatius Suharyo, Archbishop of Jakarta; its patron is St. John of Capistrano.

History
Catholics serving in the Indonesian National Armed Forces and the Indonesian National Police, along with their families, receive pastoral care from the Military Ordinariate of Indonesia, a military ordinariate of the Catholic Church that is immediately subject to the Holy See.
