Melkite Greek Catholic (Byzantine-rite) archeparchy of Akka (Acre), erected as an eparchy in 1753 and elevated to archeparchy on 18 November 1964, serving Melkite faithful in Galilee and northern Israel. It belongs to the Melkite Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch, with its seat at St. Elijah Cathedral in Haifa. Archeparch Youssef Matta was appointed 18 March 2019.
