Patriarchal Territory of Gerusalemme

Chaldean Catholic (East Syriac rite) territory dependent on the Patriarch of Babylon, covering the Holy Land (Israel and Palestine) from Jerusalem. Established as a patriarchal vicariate in 1908, promoted to patriarchal exarchate in 1991, and reorganized as a patriarchal dependent territory in 1997. The see is vacant, with oversight exercised by the Chaldean Patriarch.
