Latin-rite metropolitan archdiocese in Chhattisgarh, India, established as an apostolic prefecture on 16 January 1964, elevated to diocese on 5 July 1973, and made a metropolitan archdiocese on 27 February 2004. Its seat is St. Joseph's Cathedral in Raipur, with suffragans Ambikapur, Jagdalpur, Jashpur, and Raigarh, serving about 73,000 Catholics (2010).
