The Diocese of Kasese is a Latin Rite diocese in western Uganda, erected in 1989 from the Diocese of Fort Portal. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Mbarara, and its bishop since 2014 is Francis Aquirinus Kibira.

History

Centered on the city of Kasese in Uganda, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kasese (Latin: Kasesen(sis)) is a suffragan of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mbarara. It ministers to the Catholic faithful of the Kasese District over 3,205 square kilometres (1,237 sq mi), the smallest territory of any diocese in the Mbarara Ecclesiastical Province.
