The Diocese of Kayes is a Latin Rite diocese in western Mali, established as an apostolic prefecture in 1947 and raised to a diocese in 1963. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Bamako, and its bishop since 2013 is Jonas Dembele.

History
In Mali's ecclesiastical province of Bamako lies the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kayes (Latin: Kayesen(sis), French: Diocèse catholique romain de Kayes), seated in the city of Kayes. On Thursday, January 31, 2013, Pope Benedict XVI named the Reverend Father Jonas Dembélé as bishop-elect of Kayes; a priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of San in San, Mali, he had until then served as a pastor and as secretary of the National Union of Priests of Mali. He succeeded Bishop Joseph Dao, who had retired in 2011.
