History

Erected in 1806 in Tuscany, this Latin diocese (Latin: Dioecesis Liburnensis) belongs to the ecclesiastical province of Pisa as a suffragan of that archdiocese. Simone Giusti serves as its current bishop. English speakers long knew the city of Livorno by the name Leghorn.
