Within the Coptic Catholic Church, which follows the Alexandrian Rite in the Coptic language, the Eparchy of Minya is a suffragan eparchy, an Eastern Catholic diocese, in that church's sole ecclesiastical province, that of the Coptic Catholic Patriarch of Alexandria, whose see is in Cairo. Its episcopal seat is the cathedral of Christ King in Minya, capital of the Minya Governorate in Upper Egypt.
