Latin-rite metropolitan archdiocese in Oaxaca, Mexico, erected as the Diocese of Antequera on 21 June 1535 and elevated to an archdiocese on 23 June 1891. Its seat is the Metropolitan Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption in Oaxaca City, and its suffragans include Puerto Escondido, Tehuantepec, Tuxtepec and the prelatures of Huautla and Mixes.

History
Dating to its erection on June 21, 1535, the Archdiocese of Antequera, Oaxaca (Latin: Archidioecesis Antequerensis) is a Latin Church jurisdiction in Mexico. Its territory takes in part of the state of Oaxaca, and its mother church is the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption in the see city of Oaxaca.
