History
A missionary territory of the Latin Church in Mexico, the Territorial Prelature of Huautla (Latin: Praelatura Territorialis Huautlensis) was erected on 8 October 1972 and stands as a suffragan in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan see of Antequera.
