Latin rite diocese covering the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. Erected 23 May 1970 by Pope Paul VI as the Territorial Prelature of Chetumal, renamed Cancun-Chetumal in 1996, and elevated to a diocese by Pope Francis on 15 February 2020. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Yucatan, with the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity in Cancun and a co-cathedral in Chetumal.

History
Raised from the rank of territorial prelature on 15 February 2020, the Diocese of Cancún-Chetumal (Latin: Dioecesis Cancunensis-Chetumaliensis) is a suffragan see within the province of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Yucatán.
