History
The Diocese of Ciudad Victoria (Latin: Dioecesis Civitatis Victoriensis), a Latin Church jurisdiction in Mexico, was erected on 21 December 1964 from territory taken out of the Diocese of Tampico, a see that had itself carried the name Diocese of Ciudad Victoria between 1870 and 1958. It is a suffragan within the province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Monterrey.
