History
First erected on 25 April 1902 under the name Diocese of Mixtecas, this Latin Church jurisdiction received its present name on 13 November 1903. The Diocese of Huajuapan de León (Latin: Dioecesis Huaiuapanensis) is a suffragan within the province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Puebla de los Ángeles, and its cathedra rests in the Catedral de la Virgen de Guadalupe in the see city of Huajuapan de León, Oaxaca.
