History
Since 1979 this Latin Church see in southern Italy has carried the name Diocese of Oppido Mamertina-Palmi (Latin: Dioecesis Oppidensis-Palmarum). Historically it was the Diocese of Oppido Mamertina (Oppidensis). The Archdiocese of Reggio Calabria serves as its metropolitan, the diocese holding suffragan rank.
