History

On the north shore of Sicily lies the Diocese of Patti (Latin: Dioecesis Pactensis), a Latin diocese of the Catholic Church and a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Messina-Lipari-Santa Lucia del Mela. Bartholomew the Apostle is the patron saint, and the cathedral bears his name.
