History
Covering the midwestern part of the United States, the Eparchy of Parma (Latin: Eparchia Parmensis Ruthenorum) is a diocese of the Ruthenian Greek Catholic Church whose liturgies follow the Byzantine Rite. Its episcopal seat is the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Parma, Ohio, and it stands as a suffragan of the Archeparchy of Pittsburgh within the ecclesiastical province of Pittsburgh, a metropolis dependent on the Roman Congregation for the Oriental Churches. The see is sometimes styled the "Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Parma", after the title the Ruthenian Greek Catholic Church uses in the United States.
