History
In the Eastern United States, the Chaldean Catholic Church is represented by the Chaldean Eparchy of Saint Thomas the Apostle in Detroit (Latin: Eparchia Sancti Thomas Apostoli Detroitensis Chaldaeorum). Its liturgy follows the Syro-Oriental Rite, celebrated in Classical Syriac. The eparchy is exempt, subject immediately to the Holy See and outside any ecclesiastical province. Its cathedral see is Our Lady of Chaldeans Cathedral in Southfield, Michigan, United States.
