History

In the Eastern United States, the Chaldean Catholic Church is represented by the Chaldean Eparchy of Saint Thomas the Apostle in Detroit (Latin: Eparchia Sancti Thomas Apostoli Detroitensis Chaldaeorum). Its liturgy follows the Syro-Oriental Rite, celebrated in Classical Syriac. The eparchy is exempt, subject immediately to the Holy See and outside any ecclesiastical province.
