The Diocese of Tarma in central Peru was established as a territorial prelature in 1958 and elevated to a diocese in 1985. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Huancayo and has been led by Bishop Timoteo Solórzano Rojas, a Missionary of the Sacred Heart, since 2022.
