Latin rite metropolitan archdiocese in Peru's Junin region, erected as a diocese on 18 December 1944 and elevated to metropolitan rank on 30 June 1966. Its seat is the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity in Huancayo, and its suffragans are the Dioceses of Huanuco and Tarma. Archbishop Luis Alberto Huaman Camayo was appointed in 2024.

History
