History
Established in 1951 by the Archdiocese of Caceres, the Diocese of Sorsogon (Latin: Dioecesis Sorsogonensis) is a Latin Church jurisdiction in the Philippines. Its territory was reduced in 1968 when the Diocese of Masbate was separated from it. The diocese remains a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Caceres.
