History
Territory taken from the Diocese of Legazpi gave rise in 1974 to the Diocese of Virac (Lat: Dioecesis Viracensis) in Catanduanes, a Latin Church see in the Philippines and a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Caceres. Bishop Luisito Audal Occiano now leads the diocese, having succeeded Bishop Manolo de los Santos.
