It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Gdansk. Its mother church is the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Pelplin.

History
Located in the town of Pelplin, Poland, this Latin Church diocese (Latin: Pelplinen(sis); Kashubian: Pelplińskô diecezjô) is a suffragan within the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Gdańsk. Tczew is the largest city within its borders.
