It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Gniezno. Its mother church is the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Wloclawek.

History
Known until the 20th century as the Diocese of Kujawy, the Diocese of Włocławek (Latin: Dioecesis Vladislaviensis) is a Latin Church diocese in Poland, a suffragan within the ecclesiastical province of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Gniezno. The bishops' seat is Włocławek Cathedral, also a minor basilica, the Bazylika Katedralna Wniebowzięcia NMP, in the city of Włocławek in Kujawsko-Pomorskie.
