History
The northwestern quarter of the state of Iowa in the United States belongs to the Diocese of Sioux City (Latin: Diœcesis Siopolitanensis), a Latin Church diocese and suffragan see of the Archdiocese of Dubuque. Its cathedral parish is the Epiphany, with Sioux City as the see city. In all, the diocese takes in 24 counties of northwestern Iowa, covering 14,518 square miles (37,600 km2).
