The Archdiocese of Dubuque is the metropolitan see for the State of Iowa, covering 30 counties in northeastern Iowa. Erected in 1837 and elevated to an archdiocese in 1893, it is led by Archbishop Thomas R. Zinkula.

History
The northeastern quarter of the state of Iowa in the United States belongs to the Archdiocese of Dubuque (Latin: Archidiœcesis Dubuquensis), a Catholic see erected as a diocese in 1837 and raised to an archdiocese in 1893. As a metropolitan archdiocese it presides over three suffragan dioceses.
