Latin rite mission sui iuris covering the Republic of Tajikistan, established on 29 September 1997 from the Apostolic Administration of Kazakhstan and directly subject to the Holy See. Its principal church is St. Joseph Church in Dushanbe, serving one of the world's smallest Catholic communities.

History
In Tajikistan (West Turkistan, Central Asia), the Catholic community forms part of the worldwide Catholic Church under the spiritual leadership of the Pope in Rome. Estimates placed the community at 300 people in 2009 and around 100 by 2020, with 4 priests and 8 nuns across two parishes. Catholics there are organized as a Mission sui iuris (a pre-diocesan jurisdiction, also called an Independent Mission), exempt and thus directly subject to the Holy See rather than belonging to any ecclesiastical province. It comprises three churches, in the Tajik capital Dushanbe and in Vakhsh near Bokhtar, but has no see.
