History
Attested since no later than 524, and shaped into its present form in 1977, the Diocese of Trieste (Latin: Dioecesis Tergestina) is a Latin diocese of the Catholic Church in the Triveneto. The bishop's seat is the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Justus Martyr, and the diocese is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Gorizia.
