Latin rite diocese on the Paria peninsula coast of Sucre state, Venezuela, with its see at Carupano. Erected 4 April 2000 by Pope John Paul II from the Archdiocese of Cumana, of which it is a suffragan. Its cathedral is St. Rose of Lima Cathedral in Carupano.

History
Seated in the city of Carúpano, within the ecclesiastical province of Cumaná in Venezuela, the Diocese of Carúpano (Latin: Dioecesis Carupaensis) is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church.
