The Metropolitan Archdiocese of Porto Alegre is a Latin Church see in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, erected in 1848 as the Diocese of Sao Pedro do Rio Grande and elevated to an archdiocese in 1910. It has been led by Archbishop Jaime Spengler, O.F.M., since 2013, with suffragans Caxias do Sul, Montenegro, Novo Hamburgo, and Osorio.
