Our Lady of the Southern Cross is a personal ordinariate, not a Japanese territorial diocese, erected in 2012 under Anglicanorum coetibus to serve former Anglicans across Australia and Asia, with communities in Japan. It is based in Australia, immediately subject to the Holy See, and as of May 2026 is administered by Apostolic Administrator Bishop Steven J. Lopes.
