St. Augustine Catholic Church

St. Augustine began as a mission chapel built in 1887 on land donated on Washington Boulevard and was formally established as a parish of the Diocese of Monterey-Los Angeles in 1919. The current Gothic-style church opened at Christmas 1957 and was dedicated in June 1958.
