The Church of Notre Dame in Morningside Heights was founded by the Fathers of Mercy in 1910 and is a Beaux-Arts edifice built around a life-sized grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. On January 1, 2023 it merged with Corpus Christi to form the Parish of Corpus Christi and Notre Dame. It is a center of French-language Catholicism in New York and serves as chaplaincy to Columbia University.
