AICUF presents PIETA at St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa
AICUF presented PIETA, a musical production reflecting on the life and resilience of Mother Mary, at St. Xavier’s College in Mapusa. The performance used music, dance, and drama to explore the spiritual and human challenges faced by Mary.
Bishop Simiao Purificacao Fernandes of Goa and Daman attended as the chief guest. The event included college principal Ursula Barreto, vice principals Filipe Rodrigues e Melo and Sandra Fernandes, and former principals Walter De Sa and Jerome D’Silva. Aldona MLA Carlos Ferreira also attended alongside priests, religious, students, and parents.
Dr. Fr. Ramiro Luis conceived the concept of the production to demonstrate Mary's resilience to young people. Student Rachel Nazareth wrote the script, while Worrel D’Souza directed the performance. Gabrielle Nair led the choir and Gresal De Souza choreographed the dances.
