Alverno Nursing Students Receive $10,000 in Scholarships
Alverno College nursing students will receive $10,000 in annual scholarships through a new partnership with Curally, a family owned Wisconsin healthcare company.
The funding supports five students in the Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing program. In addition to tuition assistance, the scholarship provides students with clinical experience working with Curally’s employer clients. The first five recipients recently completed three days of biometric testing and consultations for more than 300 employees at Blain’s Farm & Fleet.
Alverno President Christy L. Brown said the partnership provides students with real world clinical experience. Curally, which was founded in 2017 to provide nurse led healthcare coaching to Wisconsin employers, intends to expand its partnership with the college as the company grows.
