Pope Leo XIV celebrated Holy Mass at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes during his apostolic journey to France. After arriving at the sanctuary prairie, the Pope traveled in an open-top car through the crowd before preparing for the liturgy.

During his homily, the Pope addressed pilgrims from France and around the world, describing the gathering as the universal face of the Church. He encouraged those visiting the grotto to take the consolation of Lourdes back to their homes, parishes, and neighbors. He also noted that the Sunday Gospel readings reflect the message of conversion that the Virgin Mary entrusted to Saint Bernadette.

Following the Mass, Bishop Jean-Marc Micas of Tarbes and Lourdes spoke to the assembly, after which the Pope led the Angelus prayer. Pope Leo XIV then traveled to the bishop's residence for a private lunch.
