Archbishop Luigi Vari appoints Gennaro Petruccelli Parroco of Cuore Immacolato di Maria in Formia

Archbishop Luigi Vari appointed Gennaro Petruccelli as the new parish priest of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Formia.

The Archdiocese of Gaeta announced the appointment on September 4, 2026. Petruccelli succeeds Mariano Salpinone, who began a missionary experience.

Petruccelli, born in 1987 and originally from Gaeta, was ordained a priest on October 5, 2013. He previously served as a parochial vicar in several parishes.
