Archdiocese of Santa Cruz de la Sierra holds first day of Third Ordinary Meeting 2026 of its Presbyteral Council

Archbishop René Leigue opened the first day of the third ordinary meeting of the Presbyteral Council for the Archdiocese of Santa Cruz on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. The meeting, held at the Santos Desposorios Parish in the municipality of Buena Vista, brings together bishops and priests from various vicariates and pastoral offices to discuss community experiences and pastoral challenges.

The session, located within the Saint Rose of Lima Vicariate, included a pastoral testimony from Father Silvio Terrazas regarding priests from the integrated north. Participants also addressed the training of laity within the archdiocese. The meeting is scheduled to continue through Wednesday, October 21.
