Archbishop Luigi Vari announces pastoral changes in Diocese of Gaeta

Archbishop Luigi Vari announced several leadership changes for parishes and a new missionary appointment during a priests' assembly in Itri on September 24.

The changes include the following assignments:

Don Gennaro Petruccelli will become the pastor of the Cuore Immacolato di Maria parish in Formia, following the departure of Don Mariano Salpinone for missionary work. Don Andrzej Zdanuk, who has led the Santa Margherita V.M. parish in Coreno Ausonia since 2008, will become the pastor of San Luca Evangelista in Maranola, Formia. Don Andrei Chiosa, previously a parochial vicar in Formia, will serve as the new pastor of Santa Margherita V.M. in Coreno Ausonio. Don Daniele Frecentese will move from his role in Fondi to become the parochial vicar for the Santi Lorenzo e Giovanni Battista parish in Formia. Additionally, Don Jerome Amirthayyan, who was named administrator for Santa Maria Assunta in Ponza this past July, continues his service there.

The Archbishop also appointed Don Filippo Mitrano as the diocesan person in charge of missionary pastoral care.
