Bishop of Lugo meets with delegates of Pastoral de la Salud

Bishop Alfonso Carrasco met with delegates and leaders of the Health Pastoral of Galicia in Lugo to plan actions for the upcoming year. As the person responsible for this ministry in Galicia, Bishop Carrasco joined representatives from various Galician dioceses to coordinate initiatives and establish priorities for their work.

The Health Pastoral provides support to sick individuals, their families, and caregivers through parishes, hospitals, and residential care facilities. Priests, religious brothers and sisters, and laypeople carry out this ministry by offering spiritual assistance, listening, and companionship to those experiencing suffering, loneliness, or fragility.
