Bishop Sabino Iannuzzi to conclude ILVA debate

Bishop Sabino Iannuzzi will conclude a debate regarding the issues and future prospects of the ILVA steel plant on Thursday, November 12, 2026. The event begins at 18:30 at the San Leopoldo Mandić Auditorium in Massafra.

The Diocese of Castellaneta organized the discussion through its offices for social and labor problems and for education, school, and university. The UCID section of Castellaneta is also a co-organizer.

The debate includes speakers On. Dario Laia, Nicola Convertino, president of A.I.G.I. Taranto, Delio Monaco, a doctor with ISDE Italia, and Giuseppe Spadafino, president of Confcommercio Taranto. Don Michele Marco Quaranta, an ecclesiastical consultant for UCID, will moderate the session.
