Bishop Savino condemns violence in Lattughelle

Bishop Francesco Savino condemned the recent violence in Lattughelle following the killing of Silvana Sibarelli and the serious wounding of Damiano Pepe.

In an official statement from the Diocese of Cassano all’Jonio, Bishop Savino called for the community to remain united against violence and not to give in to fear. He described the use of weapons as a cynical act of barbarism and called for the perpetrators to repent and lay down their arms.
