Canção Nova celebrates 18 years since the Holy See approved the community as an International Association of the Faithful.

The recognition, granted in 2008, confirmed the community's statutes and its specific charism. Founded by Monsignor Jonas Abib, the community uses social communications to evangelize and communicate the life of Jesus Christ.
