New altar consecrated and deacons ordained in Markopil parish

Bishop Mykhailo Koltun led a Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Ascension in Markopil on October 25, 2026. The service, held with the blessing of Bishop Petro Loza of the Eparchy of Sokal-Zhovkva, included the consecration of a new altar and the ordination of deacons.

The new altar features the embedded Markopil Icon of the Mother of God. During the rite, the antimension was placed upon the altar. Parish administrator Father Yaroslav Bordiuh and other clergy joined the bishop for the liturgy.
